Yuly Fridman, L.A.C

I am a licensed acupuncturist in New York State, and I’ve been treating people for over 18 years. In 1998 after graduation from college with degree in physical therapy I started to work in outpatient physical therapy clinics providing post surgical rehabilitation and treating orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions including chronic pain and stroke. Some conditions respond well to physical therapy, but many do not. Physical therapy works well with acute pain/post-surgical recovery. However, my experience is that it can do very little for chronic pain. After years of working and dealing with those conditions I realized there must be alternatives to effectively relieve chronic pain. That’s what led me to become an acupuncturist. I first heard of acupuncture from my friend who saw tremendous results with treatment of his chronic problems.
