René David Alkalay (Yogi René) is a teacher, healer and author. In life, we often wear many hats and the characters inside this collection of poems illustrate this concept perfectly.

In this collection of poetry, Dr. Rene delves into the mysteries of path-working.

“Path-working” is the art of clairvoyantly investigating the Paths of the Tree of Life. Path-working as a technique seems to have developed from the clairvoyant practices of Adepts in the Stella Matutina.

Path-working is a means of raising ones consciousness from a lower Sephirah, to a higher one. The actual Path-working consists of a “guided meditation,” and each of these poems is meant to be a guided or self-guided meditation that leads the reader or listener into deeper channels of the subconscious mind.

Today, our science gives us corroboration of benefits that have been stated in various esoteric teachings.

The benefits of meditation are far reaching. When considering them, it appears at first that some of these could not possibly be benefits arising from the practice of sitting in stillness.

The benefits that are more easily understandable are the improvement of attention span, improvement of sleep patterns, a greater appreciation for life, a stronger sense of connection with self, others, and the world, improvement of brain function and mood, and a reduction of stress. Benefits that are not so obvious are the increase in immunity, a slowing of the aging process, and the actual addition of hours in our day.
