Dr. Rene David Alkalay

Yogi Renè is a teacher, healer and author. He started his journey on the path to enlightenment as a student of yoga and meditation in 1958, studying with such outstanding teachers as Richard Hittelman, A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Satchidenanda, BKS Iyengar, K. Pattabhi Jois, and Srivatsa Ramaswami. He met his master, Sri Swami Rama in 1983 and was initiated into the Himalayan tradition by Swamiji in 1986. Yogi Renè is a lifelong student of Kriya, Kundalini and Tantra Yoga.  As a jnana yogi, he is a student and teacher of a number of disciplines of metaphysical and esoteric knowledge including Judaism, Christianity, Daoism, Buddhism and several forms of ancient Pagan religions and philosophies. A much sought-after speaker and teacher, Yogi Renè is a life-long student of meditation, Yoga science, Kabbalah, and the religious and philosophical texts of the East and West, and is the author of numerous articles and books.

Edita Djordjevic

Edita’s yoga journey started in 1985 when she wondered into a breathing class held by a yogi from India. The positive effects of those simple breathing techniques prompted her to go deeper into the yoga practice. From then on she remained on the path of discovering the immense depth and wisdom of yoga practice. After practicing asanas for over 15 years, in 2005, she received her yoga teacher certification in the Himalayan Yoga Tradition at Genesis East West Studies Center and Tree of Life Teacher’s Association, A Swami Rama Yoga Center and has been teaching since then.

200 hour certification program in Raja Yoga: Asana, Pranayam, Meditation, Philosophy of Yoga, Yoga Anatomy, Nutrition, Sanskrit (basic).

Patti Adams

500Hr. Certified Yoga Instructor for class or individual settings with an emphasis on gentle yoga and chair yoga.  My goal is to give a full, wonderful and beneficial experience with yoga movements and connecting mind, body and breath.
Certified Yoga Therapist for individuals in order to relieve pain and suffering, mentally, physically, emotionally and inwardly.  Ayurveda approaches to health and well-being to include moving and breathing, static poses, delving into the Doshas, Koshas and Gunas, including diet and lifestyle.

Kimberly Lebron

Kim started practicing yoga in 2012 as her stretch/rest/recovery day while training for her first triathlon. She quickly began to experience the physical, mental, emotional and psychological benefits. She understood that yoga could be a great workout, a stress reducer and a journey of personal development!! A pilgrimage to India in 2016 sparked more of an interest in yoga philosophy leading her to enroll in yoga teacher training at the Yoga Teachers Training Institute (YTTI). Kim completed her 200HR training in December 2016 and her 500HR training in December 2017. She is trained in traditional Hatha yoga and focuses on alignment and breath work. She currently teaches at multiple yoga studios and nursing homes as well as working with private clients of all ages. Kim teaches our Open Beginners Yoga class on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 630p

Thomas Breski

Introduced to yoga in 1987 when Thomas started taking classes at Yogi Gupta ashram in Elmhurst Queens. He delved deeper into yoga philosophy and found it something he really enjoyed, something that made him feel connected. Tom studied with Yogi Gupta for many years and developed a more spiritual understanding of yoga. He did his teacher training at Yogashakti in Richmond Hill and has completed his 200 and 500 hours as a RYT. Thomas currently works as a substitute teacher at Yogashakti. He also has experience teaching at the adult education program at Westbury High School
